Graduate School

Oh for the days of graduate school,
When I lived my life by strictest rule;
Not a moment to waste,
As I sped in haste,
To complete my duties at school.

Bright and early I am awake,
Quickly my light breakfast I make,
Just time for a shower,
And within an hour,
I reach my office, yet late.

Reading and thinking, thinking and reading,
Writing and talking, thoughtfully explaining, ...
As the hours fly,
'Tis evening, and I,
Am to the gym now heading.

I work at the weights for an hour;
Then take a refreshing shower;
Watch a spot of TV;
Quite relaxing, really,
As I hungrily gulp my supper.

Back to school, by hook or crook,
I spend some time on the Book,
And again I read,
The texts I need,
Until my eyes regain their sleepy look.
